NOS Energy/93x Drift Competition Re-cap

Well it was quite the weekend. I think many of us had been looking forward to this for well over a week or two now. It was a great day, and a very exciting night.

The competition came down to some of the best local and non-local drifters. In the end, the top 3 were:

1) Kevin Hilgers

2) Sam Henry

3) Trapper Dave

Kevin held solid lines all night, some of the most consistent driving I have EVER seen. Especially with the pressure that was on him.

We were all proud to see Sam take 2nd place, he hadn’t driven for almost a solid year and had gotten the car done the night before/morning of the event. It looked like his driving hadn’t skipped a beat over the last year.

The rest of the event was pretty awesome, and it was my first time latching on to a big camera rig. I plan on buying my own now for sure. Just need to decide on what I want to get. I should have my footage digitized by the end of the week, and hopefully I can begin working on the finished product of the new 2010 EP/DC video by then.
